The town is covered in a blanket of snow for the holidays.
We were out and about doing last minute shopping and it felt like life inside a snow globe! I was only too happy to enjoy a skillet of classic mac and cheese from Druthers Brewing Company.
We were sad to abandon plans for our family dinner at bar Vino–but the highways were icy. Instead, Aunt Maggie braved the weather and visited us for cuddles and the most epic game of Uno. It was great to have an evening in and enjoy family time.
We have so much to be happy about right now. Ski season is starting, J has a vacation coming up…and we will be with everyone on Christmas day. There are new babies, newly engaged friends, Christmas morning at the Q’s…so much to celebrate!
Personally, I am also grateful that my stab at decorating has yielded just enough projects to keep me happy. The parlor renovation will be completed in the new year–I cannot wait to get photos! The blog is moving slower…but it will find a rhythm as I continue to define the purpose.
Today is supposed to be icy and raining. I have agreed to help my seven year old make a “pup cake” for our chihuahua’s 12th birthday 🙂
Enjoy the holidays! Spa City Mama will be back in the new year!
