Patio season is the best! My favorite things are a book or a cocktail outside in the warm summer air.  The season is so short here that I’ve decided to jump in and make the most of our outdoor time with some serious summer Hygge.

I’ve learned from the past few summers to invest in pre-made floral mix containers from our local Sunnyside Gardens. The colors are just gorgeous and they grow better than the ones that I try to put together on my own.

Then, I added fresh pillows and a new outdoor rug to make it feel extra comfortable. Home Goods is definitely the place to go for stylish and inexpensive decor.

Also–If you have a spot on your patio where nothing seems to grow, consider adding a collection of twigs mixed with straw vase filler. The planter on the right of the sofa was filled with twelve dollars worth of filler and a few twigs pushed down into some potting soil. The colors will eventually fade, but it does last for the season!

Cheers to sunny days and lazy afternoons on the patio!

Remember–if you live in the Capital Region/Saratoga area…I would be happy to help you shop and stage the perfect patio!
