I am so happy that my friend has survived a full home renovation!  It took over a year and quite a bit of stress and upheaval for this family of five…and at last, they are home!

I had the pleasure of helping create a peaceful parlor and front entry to this lovely farm house.

My client wanted something light and restful to the eyes.  Her vision was a haven for reading, knitting, and sharing a pot of tea while listening to her vintage radio.

I found myself inspired by a delicate floral tea set given to my client by her mother. We worked to bring the outdoors in and keep the feeling of a warm and sunny day–even if the ground outside was covered in snow.

This sweet theme has all of the elements of nature: warm wood, grass green, soft clouds and a sky colored ceiling. We also chose a golden sunburst light fixture.

I am excited to see the room evolve as she adds favorite books, photos, and other treasured objects.  The room was large enough to accommodate a piano in one corner and my hope is that she will enjoy many years of relaxation and quality family time in this space.
